Sun dried ways
What a difference a week makes.
New Forest paths, so long marked by path blocking mud pools, are now dirt tracks. Remnants of their sticky barriers fast disappearing.
The bush and trees edging over the path have reacted to lengthening daylight hours with an outburst of growth, now crowding a clear way ahead.
And the crowds. Where have they all been hiding away over the Winter?
My quiet & solitary wanders have recently become a series of encounters with other people partaking of the outdoor life. Although some seem a little confused as to the physical exertion & suitable footwear/clothing that helps when straying from their more usual tarmac covered environment.
But hey ho. The warmer longer days are welcome whatever the pay-off along the way.
Bring it on.Labels: New Forest
