Seb Green - Home again

Seb Green finished his coastal wandering earlier today.

Wisely he seems to already have plans for his next challenges. To quote the website report posted for today's arrival "You had a dream and you have made your dream reality. You achieved everything you hoped to achieve - and so much more. You went away a boy and came back a man, head held high, knowing who you are"

Once the media kerfuffle has died down I'll be contacting one of my varied local connections, there for his arrival earlier today, for a more reflective chat with Seb if he's interested.

More of a walker/outdoor/kit roundup piece. Looking beyond the charity/publicity junket he's at the centre at present.

Maybe ask him what he thought of the BBC failing to link to his website:
http://www.sebsodyssey.org.uk thereby missing an opportunity for raising more money for charity.

At the time of writing, the BBC news story links to the RNLI and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (oops, the link given by the BBC is to dead page), the correct link is http://www.mcga.gov.uk/c4mca/.

The two charities being supported by Seb are: the Starlight Children’s Foundation and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance. Neither of which are linked to on the BBC site. The Air Ambulance website is down at time of writing, and I'm not sure if they are under the auspices of the MCA or RNLI.

But that is me just being negative, at least the BBC did give the story a high ranking on its sidebar, and (at the time of writing) it is the 5th most read story on the BBC News site. Hopefully some charity or other gains from that, even if not the ones that Seb is supporting.

Huzzah and well done to Seb.
