Dear Diary:Sunday June 10th (17:00)
BLIND TARN (GR 263 966)
552m
Arriving mid afternoon around 15:00 it looked as if the weather was finally on the turn. But sat here at 17:00 overlooking the panoramic view over Coniston Water and southwards towards Barrow it seemed once again that my good fortune is holding firm.
A brew by my side, a rock at my back, sun on my face, and wearing only a pair of shorts to protect my modesty from any curious hillwalkers who may be carrying their binoculars.
If I awoke to rain tomorrow I'd already regard the trip as a major success. 3 nights, 3 wildcamps, 3 locations.
At times life can be so sweet with such little effort or baggage. Labels: Lake District, walks
